Man Arrested for Mischief CK23064209
On December 16, 2023, at 11:44 p.m., the man was arrested on New Scotland Line in Howard Township on an outstanding warrant related to intimate partner violence. He was transported to police headquarters and held pending a bail hearing.
On December 17, 2023, at 10:09 a.m., while in the booking room counsel phone booth, the man became angry and smashed the phone. The man then turned towards police, suggesting he would initiate a physical altercation, but ultimately relented.
The 42-year-old Chatham-Kent man was re-arrested and charged with mischief Under $5,000. He was held pending a bail hearing.
Man Arrested for Assault CK23064249
On December 16, 2023, at 10:57 p.m., police responded to a disturbance at a multi-unit residential building on Erie Street North in Wheatley.
The officer learned the victim was leaving his apartment when he encountered the man. The man assaulted the victim, leaving minor visible injuries to his neck. A short time later, the man reattended the victim’s apartment and forced his way inside, resulting in damage to the door. Once inside, the man continued to damage the victim’s personal property.
On December 17, 2023, at 3:33 p.m., police arrested the man on Erie Street North in Wheatley.
The 44-year-old Wheatley man was charged with assault causing bodily harm, break-and-enter, and mischief. He was transported to police headquarters and released with conditions and a future court date of January 22, 2023.
Woman Arrested on Multiple Outstanding Warrants CK23064258
At 4:10 p.m., officers located the woman while investigating an unrelated matter on Reaume Avenue in Wallaceburg.
Officers confirmed the woman was wanted on several warrants, and she was arrested.
The 39-year-old Chatham-Kent woman currently faces the following charges: possession of unmarked cigarettes, theft, possession of stolen property, failing to comply with an undertaking, two counts of failing to attend court, and four counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking. She was transported to police headquarters and held pending a bail hearing.
Woman Arrested for Bail Violations CK23064320
On December 18, 2023, at 2:00 a.m., an officer on general patrol conducted a traffic stop on Thomas Street in Chatham.
The officer discovered the woman driving had a suspended driver’s license and was wanted for bail violations.
The 30-year-old Chatham-Kent woman was arrested and transported to police headquarters. She currently faces the following charges: possession of a controlled substance, two counts of driving while under suspension, and three counts of failing to comply with a release order. She was held pending a bail hearing.
