On 2024-08-23 members of the Chatham-Kent Police were conducting foot patrols in Downtown Chatham. While on patrol officers located a 50-year-old Chatham man wanted for Failing to Attend Court. The man was arrested and held pending a bail hearing.
Man Arrested for Theft, Uttering Threats and Assault

On 2024-08-24 the Chatham-Kent Police responded to a theft in Wallaceburg. A 49-year-old Wallaceburg man attended a local convenience store, stole some product and fled. An employee chased the suspect and confronted him outside. The suspect then assaulted the employee and brandished a knife.
The suspect fled the area but was identified and arrested by responding police. The man was charged with assault, assault with a weapon, uttering threats and theft. The man was later released on bail with conditions and a future court date.
Man Arrested for being Intoxicated in Public

On 2024-08-23 an intoxicated 45-year-old Erieau man called 911 to speak with police. Due to his apparent intoxication members of the Chatham-Kent Police attended his location to complete a well-being check. The man was belligerent with officers and was heavily intoxicated. Due the man’s lack of ability to care for himself and impairment by alcohol he was arrested. The man was released when sober.
