Chatham-Kent Police Service – Daily Report for March 19, 2025
The Chatham-Kent Police Service (CKPS) responded to a variety of incidents over the past 24 hours. Below is a summary of the key events, including arrests, investigations, and other notable occurrences:

Arrests:
•4 arrest was made throughout the day, including individuals wanted for outstanding warrants, failure to comply, and domestic-related offenses.

Date: March 20, 2025, Time: 09:23hrs., Location: Grand Avenue West, Chatham
Details:
-On the August 6, 2024, police began a break and enter investigation, where property valued at approximately $67,000 was stolen from the residence. Through investigation, a 55-year-old male from Chatham, was identified as the suspect. It was also learned he was involved with selling the stolen property. The property was recovered and identified by the owners. The accused was located and arrested by the Chatham-Kent Police Service and charged with one count of Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and one count of Trafficking in stolen goods under $5,000.
-On October 9, 2024, the CKPS Bail Compliance officer conducted a compliance check on the man and found him to be in contravention of his conditions. Specifically, to remain at his residence between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 am and to notify the designated officer assigned to his case in writing within twenty-four hours of any changes to his address. The accused was charged with two counts of failing to comply with his release order. On October 21, 2024, the man was located, arrested and held for a bail hearing. As a result, he was released by the court with conditions and a future court date.
-On February 20, 2025, the accused was scheduled to appear in court as per his previous release conditions. When he failed to do so a bench warrant was issued for his arrest.
-On March 20, 2025, at approximately 09:23hrs., the accused attend the Ontario Court of Justice, Grand Avenue West in Chatham and was arrested. He was released with a future court date of May 1, 2025.
The following charges are pending Break and Enter, Theft over$5000, Theft under $5000, Possession of stolen property, Trafficking in stolen goods under $5000 and two counts of failing to comply with a release order.
