Property Recovered from Break and Enters
Chatham-Kent, Ontario: On January 2, 2024, police responded to a break and enter at a business on Talbot Trail in Harwich Township, where a pick-up truck had been stolen. Later that day, the pick-up truck was recovered on King Street in Chatham. Through investigation, officers identified the man and woman involved and a warrant was issued for their arrest.
On February 29, 2024, after both individuals were arrested, The Chatham-Kent Police Intelligence Unit continued to investigate which resulted in two separate searches and the recovery of approximately $52,500 worth of tools. The tools were connected to two separate investigations: January 31, 2024, on Erie Street North in Ridgetown and February 26, 2024 on Richmond Street in Chatham.
Jamie Moore, 42-years of Chatham was arrested on February 28, 2024, at 1:38 p.m., on Grand Avenue West in Chatham. He was charged with break and enter, possession of a stolen property and failing to comply with a probation order. He was transported to police headquarters and held pending a bail hearing. As a result, he was remanded into custody with a March 4, 2024, court appearance.
Tawyna Gold, 40 years of Chatham was arrested on February 29, 2024, on Pearl Crescent in Chatham. She was charged with possession of stolen property and break and enter. She was transported to police headquarters and held pending a bail hearing. As a result, she was remanded into custody with a March 6, 2024, court date.
