Chatham-Kent, Ontario: The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 120 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Four people were arrested and three on outstanding warrants.
Man Arrested for Failing to Attend Court CK24006273
At 7:15 a.m. an officer on general patrol located the man on McNaughton Avenue in Wallaceburg. The officer confirmed the man was wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court in January 2024. The man was arrested.
The 40-year-old Wallaceburg man was transported to police headquarters and held pending a bail hearing. He currently faces the following charges: mischief, break and enter and failing to attend court.
Man Arrested for Assault CK24006275
At 7:37 a.m. police responded to a motor vehicle collision on Erieau Road in Erieau.
Officers learned the vehicle left the roadway and struck a hydro pole. While investigating the matter officers also learned the man was wanted on an outstanding warrant. The warrant was issued as a result of a June 2023 assault investigation.
The 43-year-old Wardsville man was arrested and transported to police headquarters where he was held pending a bail hearing. The man has been charged with assault.
Man Arrested for Break and Enter CK24006395
On February 12, 2024, at 4:34 a.m. police responded to Wellington Street in Dresden for a break and enter in progress.
Upon arrival, officers located the man on the premises. The man was found with tools and copper wiring. Further investigation revealed the man was wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court.
The 39-year-old Dresden man was arrested and charged with break and enter. He was transported to police headquarters and held pending a bail hearing.
