The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 129 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Four people were arrested.
Male Arrested for Impaired Operation – CK23058504
Early yesterday morning an officer on general patrol in Chatham conducted a routine traffic stop on an observed vehicle in the area of Wellington Street West. Through investigation the officer believed the male driving was driving while impaired by alcohol. The male was arrested and transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters for breath tests. The 36-year old male of Chatham was charged with having a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit and was later released with a future court date of November 27, 2023.
Break and Enter – CK23058539
Yesterday morning police responded to a break and enter at a residence on Monarch Drive in Chatham. Sometime overnight an unknown person entered a shed on the property and removed several tools. The investigation is ongoing and there are currently no suspects.

Male Arrested on Outstanding Warrant – CK23058589
Yesterday afternoon an officer on general patrol in Wallaceburg located a male in the area of McNaughton Avenue who was known to be wanted on an outstanding warrant. The male was arrested on the strength of the warrant, transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters for booking and held pending a bail hearing.
Break and Enter – CK23058589
Yesterday afternoon police responded to a break and enter at a residence on Wellington Street East in Chatham. Unknown person entered a trailer on the property and removed two chainsaws. The property was later recovered however the suspect is still currently unknown. The investigation is ongoing and there are currently no suspects.

Male Arrested on Domestic Charges – CK23058602
Last night Police responded to a possible domestic dispute at a residence on John Street East in Blenheim involving a male and female. Through investigation it was found that the male involved had assaulted the female. The male was arrested for two counts of Assault, transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters for booking and later released with a future court date of November 27, 2023.
Liquor Licence Act – CK23058648
Early this morning Police responded to a business on King Street West in Chatham for an intoxicated male out of control. Through investigation it was determined that the male had also damaged a door to the business. The male was arrested for Mischief Under $5000 and Being Intoxicated in a Public Place. The male was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters for booking and held until sober.

Early this morning police responded to a break and enter at a residence on Woods Street in Chatham. An unknown person entered a shed on the property and removed approximately $500 in meat. The investigation is ongoing and there are currently no suspects.
