Disturbance Complaint Leads to Charges CK23043411
Shortly after 6:30 p.m. last night, police responded to a disturbance complaint on Baxter Street in Chatham. Through investigation, police learned a woman approached a man who she was on court conditions to not associate with. The woman also threw a crowbar at a motor vehicle parked nearby and had a warrant out for her arrest.
The 33-year-old Chatham woman was arrested and charged for her outstanding warrant, fail to comply with probation and mischief under $5,000. She was released from custody with a future court date of September 11th, 2023.
Youth Charged with Failing to Comply CK23043464
On May 29th, 2023 the youth was released from court with several conditions. One of the conditions stated that he was to remain in his residence daily between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
Last night around 11:40 p.m., police located the youth outside of his residence and arrested him.
The 16-year-old youth has been charged with failing to comply with his release conditions. He was released with a future court date of September 18th, 2023.
Man Charged with Impaired Driving CK23043490
Around 2:20 a.m. this morning, police were on general patrol in the area of Fourth Street in Chatham. Police located the man in the driver’s seat of a motor vehicle and through investigation believed he was driving while under the influence of alcohol.
The 28-year-old man was arrested and transported to police headquarters for breath tests. He was charged with operating a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol and released with a future court date of September 11th, 2023.
