Man arrested on Warrants in Blenheim CK23040404
On June 16, 2023, shortly after 7:30pm, the Chatham-Kent Police Service received a call for service regarding an unwanted person on her property. Officers arrived a short time later and found a male party located on the property. Through investigation, it was determined that the male party on the property was wanted for multiple crimes committed through 2022.
Officers arrested a 42-year-old Thamesville man, transporting him to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters where he was held pending a bail hearing.
Officers recover stolen vehicle in Chatham CK23030497
On June 16, 2023, Chatham-Kent Police Service officers were dispatched to a call for service regarding a theft at the Chatham Walmart. Officers were able to locate the suspects in a vehicle located in the parking lot of the business, and through investigation it was determined that the vehicle was reported stolen out of the Essex area earlier in the day.
Officers placed two parties under arrest (one male one female) for possession of stolen property over $5000.00.
Officers arrested both parties and transported them to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters for booking, and released with a future court date.
Traffic complaint leads to arrest CK23030582
On June 17, 2023 at approximately 3:00am, the Chatham-Kent Police Service received a call for service regarding a traffic complaint where a vehicle was driving erratically. Emergency communication operators were able to gather enough information about the vehicle, and its where abouts within the city to start a search. Officers located the suspect vehicle on Second Street parked with the driver still in the driver’s seat.
Through investigation it, and speaking with the driver, officers were able to determine that the male driver was operating the vehicle while impaired by alcohol.
A 56-year-old Tilbury man was placed under arrest for impaired operation of a motor vehicle. Officers transported the male was Chatham-Kent OPP detachment to measure the amount of alcohol in his body. Breath tests showed that the male blew almost 2 times the legal limit. Officers then brought him to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters where he was booked, lodged, and released with a future court date and conditions.
