Chatham-Kent, Ontario: The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 223 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Seven people were arrested three of which were on outstanding warrants.
Break and Enter Park St. Chatham CK24028678
Sometime overnight an unknown suspect cut a lock off a door to detached garage. A Large amount of tools were removed valued at approximately $3500. Anyone with information is asked to contact PC PARENT at mattp@chatham-kent.ca
Man Arrested on Outstanding Warrant CK24028359
Yesterday morning at approximately 8:45am a 30 year old Tilbury male turned himself into the Chatham-Kent Police Service due to an outstanding warrant involving domestic related charges. He was later released on a future court date with conditions.
Stolen / Recovered Motor Vehicle CK24028691
Yesterday morning at approximately 8:36am a motor vehicle was reported stolen from the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance located at 80 Grand Ave W. Chatham. The male suspect was identified by police on video surveillance. That same day at approximately 3:18pm the male suspect was located and arrested for Theft of Motor Vehicle, Mischief Under $5000 and Possession Over $5000. He was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters where he was later released on a future court date.
Man Arrested on Outstanding Warrant CK24028772
Yesterday afternoon at approximately 3:33pm a 38 year old Chatham man was arrested for historical charges of Extortion, Sexual Assault, Utter Threats, Criminal Harassment, and Sharing Intimate Images. This male was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters where he was later released with a future court date.
Domestic Assault CK24028886
At approximately 2:33am this morning a 30 year old Chatham man was engaged in an altercation with his female partner resulting in the man punching and choking her. The male was located by police and subsequent to police investigation was arrested for Assault, Assault Cause Bodily Harm, Mischief and Utter Threats. The male was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters where he was held for a bail hearing.
Impaired Operation/Fail to Stop/Refuse CK24028893
At approximately 4:07am this morning the Chatham-Kent Police received a call for service in relation to a possible impaired driver. The vehicle in question and its 20 year old male driver were located by police on Croydon St. and the driver initially failed to stop when directed. Shortly afterward the male driver was stopped by police and arrested for Impaired Operation of a Conveyance. While at Headquarters, the male driver refused to provide a sample of his breath when directed and therefore was charged additionally with refusal. The male was later released with a future court date.
