Police Investigating Motor Vehicle Collisions in Chatham CK23053865
On Saturday October 14th, 2023, at 3:30 a.m., emergency crews responded to a motor vehicle collision on Bloomfield Road in Chatham involving three vehicles. Two of the involved motor vehicles were travelling in opposite directions over the 401 overpass on Bloomfield Road when they collided. Shortly after, a third motor vehicle was also travelling over the 401 overpass and struck one of the vehicles, causing a second collision.
A 37-year-old Ridgetown man was transported to the hospital for medical attention where he remains in critical condition. Family members have been notified. The names of all the drivers involved are not being released at this time.

Man Charged with Failing to Comply CK23054017
On May 29th, 2023 and August 23rd, 2023 the man entered into two probation orders before the courts with conditions to not attend a specific address in Chatham. Last night around 11:15 p.m., police were called to the address after the report of the man attending the residence. Police arrived on scene and located the man inside of the residence.
The 47-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with two counts of failing to comply with his probations orders. He was released with a future court date of November 6th, 2023.
Man Arrested for Impaired Driving CK23053827
At approximately 3:50 a.m., police responded to a call for service in Chatham for the report of a possible impaired driver. Police arrived on scene and through investigation believed the man was driving while under the influence of alcohol. The man was transported to police headquarters for impairment tests.
The 27-year-old Dresden man was charged with impaired driving. He was released with conditions and a future court date of October 30th, 2023.
