Chatham-Kent, Ontario: The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 187 calls for service in the last 24 hours. 5 people were arrested.
Warrant Arrest – CK24063615
Yesterday at approximately 9:15 a 63-year-old Chatham man attended Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters and turned himself in responding to an outstanding warrant for his arrest. He was later released from custody with a future court date to answer to the charges.
Possession of Stolen Property – CK24063687
Yesterday a Wallaceburg officer of the Chatham-Kent Police Service observed on social media concerns of “porch pirates” stealing packages in town. The officer recognized one suspect. The suspect, a 30-year-old Wallaceburg woman was located, arrested and charged with possession of stolen property. She was later released from custody with a future court date to answer to the charge.
Bail Violations – CK24063768
Earlier this morning at 4:51 a.m. officers observed a 28-year-old Wallaceburg man, known to police to be subject to a probation mandated curfew. He was arrested , transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters and lodged for a bail hearing.
