Chatham-Kent, Ontario: The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 164 calls for service in the last 24 hours. 4 people were arrested.
Possession of Stolen Property – CK24057703
Yesterday while on general patrol an officer located a stolen pickup truck on Stewart Street in Tilbury. A 27-year-old Leamington man was located inside of the vehicle and arrested for Possession of Stolen Property Over $5,000. Investigation revealed the man was a subject of both Chatham-Kent Police and Ontario Provincial Police warrants for the same charge.
He was transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service and lodged for a bail hearing.
Break and Enter – CK24057709
Yesterday, officers attended an address on Jackson Street, Dresden in response to a break and enter. Investigation revealed that sometime overnight two Honda 4-wheel ATVs were taken.

Break and Enter – RM24003726
Yesterday, police received a complaint of break and enter to a vehicle in Dresden. Sometime overnight unknown suspect(s) entered a vehicle parked outside of a residence. Personal identification as well as tools were stolen from the vehicle.

Security Camera Registry
The Security Camera Registry is a community-based crime prevention opportunity and investigative resource that enlists the help of Chatham-Kent residents.
This registry enables community members to voluntarily identify their residential video surveillance location through a simple, secure, confidential, online form located on the Chatham-Kent Police Service website. Identified addresses will be mapped on a database of surveillance camera locations for officers to quickly and effectively direct resources when investigating criminal offences in your neighbourhood. Your participation in this innovative program can deter and prevent crime, and save lives.

False 911 calls are continuing to pull officers away from incidents that require their attention.
911 is to be used for:
Any life-threatening emergency
Reporting crimes in progress
