Special Constable Grace Hyatt
I am a proud resident of Chatham-Kent and have lived in Wheatley all my life. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with friends and family, along with playing sports and staying active. I have been playing hockey since I was 7 and do not plan on hanging up my skates any time soon. Hockey has provided me with many friendships and memories that I still cherish to this day. In the summer, I also love to golf. I plan on spending most of my days off at the course once the weather gets warmer. Although I do love my hometown, travelling is something that I have begun to appreciate more as I get older; it is also something I aspire to do much more of in the future. I have been to Scotland twice now (pictured above) and would go back for a third time in a heartbeat. Overall, I think it is important to learn about different cultures and ways of life outside of our own.
Growing up, I was always intrigued by one day having a career in law enforcement. I knew I wanted to help people and give back to the community that provided me with so many opportunities, friendships, and memories over the years. With that being said, once I finished school, I applied to be a Special Constable for the Chatham-Kent Police Service. Even though I have only been with the service for about 6 months, I have met so many amazing people and have learned so much. I am excited to see what the future has in store when it comes to both my career with Chatham-Kent Police and my life outside of work.
