CK26065098 – Trespass to Property Act

Location: Stanley Avenue, Blenheim, ON
On Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at approximately 19:52 hrs, members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service attended a residence on Stanley Avenue in Blenheim for an individual refusing to leave after being directed by the homeowner.
Police attended and subsequently arrested a 28-year-old Blenheim woman for trespassing.
The woman was then removed from the residence and released on a provincial offence notice.
CK26065101 – Mischief
Date: September 2, 2026, 20:55 hrs
Location: McNaughton Avenue West, Chatham, ON
On Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at approximately 20:55 hrs, members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to an address on McNaughton Avenue West in Chatham regarding an ongoing noise complaint.
Police learned that several neighbours had reported repeated disturbances involving loud yelling, screaming and banging coming from the residence. Officers spoke with multiple residents who described the disturbances as ongoing and occurring frequently, including during the overnight hours.
Following the investigation, a 36-year-old Chatham woman was charged with one count of Mischief – Obstructs, interrupts or interferes with the lawful use, enjoyment or operation of property.
The accused was then released on an appearance notice with a future court date of November 24, 2026.
CK26065122 – Suspicious Persons
Date: September 2, 2026, 21:08 hrs
Location: Knight Street, Wallaceburg, ON
On Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at approximately 21:08 hrs, members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of a suspicious person entering private properties in the area of Knight Street in Wallaceburg.
Officers located the man in the front yard of a residence on Old Glass Road. While speaking with him regarding his behaviour, the man allegedly reached toward an officer and grabbed the officer’s duty firearm.
Officers immediately attempted to take control of the man, who resisted arrest by refusing commands and physically preventing officers from placing him in handcuffs.
Asa result of the incident, a 33-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with:
- Disarming a Peace Officer
- Resisting a Peace Officer
- Failing to Comply with a Probation Order
The accused was transported to Chatham-Kent Police headquarters and held pending a bail hearing.
