Obstruct/Bail Violation- CK25053101/ CK25053109
Date: September 3, 2025, Time: 9:58hrs Location: Princess Street N, Chatham
On September 3, 2025, at approximately 09:58 hours, the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a call regarding the well-being of a female located sleeping in the back lot of a commercial property at on Richmond Street, near West Street in Chatham.
Upon arrival, officers found a male and female together in the back lot. During questioning, the female provided a false name, and the male also misidentified himself. Following further investigation, police identified both individuals accurately and discovered that the male had been bound by a probation order prohibiting him from associating with the female.
The 39-year-old Wallaceburg man was arrested for Obstructing a Peace Officer under and Fail to Comply with a Probation Order. The 45-year-old Wallaceburg woman was also arrested for Obstructing a Peace Officer and facilitating a breach of the probation order.
Both individuals were taken to Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters, where the man was held pending a bail hearing. The woman was released on a Form #10 with conditions and is scheduled to appear in court on October 8, 2025.
Assault with a Weapon- CK25053154
Date: September 3, 2025, Time: 15:44hrs Location: Park Avenue W, Chatham
On August 28, 2025, at approximately 17:00 hours, the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of an assault that occurred at a residence on King Street East in Chatham. The victim reported being assaulted by a man, who was seen throwing rocks at her from a neighbouring property.
The victim recorded a video of the incident, which clearly captured the accused’s identity and actions, showing multiple rocks being thrown and striking her on the legs and arm.
On September 3, 2025, at approximately 15:44 hours, the accused was located and arrested. During the arrest, he resisted police efforts.
The 19-year-old Chatham man has been charged with Assault with a Weapon under and Resist Arrest. He is currently being held for a bail hearing.
Bail Violation- CK25053182
Date: September 3, 2025, Time: 18:00hrs Location: Sandys Street, Chatham
On September 3, 2025, at approximately 18:00 hours, the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a call regarding a bail violation at a residence located on Sandy Street in Chatham. The complainant reported that his ex-roommate was in violation of her conditions by communicating with him and had threatened his life.
The complainant provided an audio statement detailing recent encounters with the accused, where she threatened to harm him. Police conducted a local records check and confirmed the identity of the accused.
The 28-year-old Chatham woman was located at an apartment on McNaughton Avenue and placed under arrest and charged with Uttering Threats – Cause Death or Bodily Harm and Failure to Comply with Undertaking. She was transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters, where she is currently being held for a bail hearing.
