The Chatham-Kent Police Service (CKPS) responded to a variety of incidents over the past 24 hours. Below is a summary of the key events.

Traffic Complaint- CK25056620

Date: September 18, 2025, Time: 2016 hrs, Location: St. Clair Street, Chatham

On September 18, 2025, at approximately 20:16 hrs, the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of a traffic-related complaint in Chatham.

A 21-year-old male driver from Thamesville, reported being chased by a vehicle in connection to a prior dispute. During the incident, suspect’s vehicles rear-ended the complainant’s vehicle before pulling alongside and forcing it off the roadway. The complainant’s vehicle sustained damage. Additional medical assistance was not required.

The suspect fled Chatham-Kent and entered Lambton County.

Officers were able to track one of the involved individuals, a 19-year-old male from Chatham with the assistance from Ontario Provincial Police Service (OPP).

The Ontario Provincial Police notified CKPS that they had located the suspect at a gas station in Bridgen, Ontario. Police then attended the location and transferred custody from OPP.

As a result of the investigation, the individual was arrested and charged with the following offences:

  • Count 1: Uttering Threats
  • Count 2: Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle
  • Count 3: Assault with a Weapon
  • Count 4: Fail to Remain
  • Count 5: Fail to Report

The accused was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters, where he is currently being held for bail.

Warrants – CK25056494

Date: September 18, 2025, Time: 08:59 hrs, Location: James Street, Wallaceburg

On August 28, 2025, at approximately 13:15 hrs, the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of a break and enter.

Upon arrival, officers learned that two individuals entered the home through a screen window and were captured on surveillance footage.

Investigations revealed that several items were stolen from the residence.

As a result of the investigation, officers formed grounds to charge two individuals, a 31-year-old female from Wallaceburg and a 40-year-old male from Walpole Island. The accused fled the scene prior to police arrival.

The accused were charged with the following

  • Count 1: Break and Enter contrary
  • Count 2: Theft under $5,000
  • Count 3: Possession of stolen property under $5,000

A warrant was issued for the arrest of the individuals.

On September 19, 2025, at approximately 08:59 hrs, the female accused was located and arrested by Chatham-Kent Police Service officers. She was found to have an outstanding endorsed First Instance Warrant for the listed charges.

The individual was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters where she was released with a scheduled future court date of October 27, 2025.
