Location: Jefferey Street, Chatham, ON
On Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at approximately 08:02 hrs, members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to an address on Jefferey Street regarding a breach of probation incident.
Through investigation, police learned that a male party had attended residence on Jeffrey Street, who was on court-ordered conditions not to attend.
As a result of the investigation, a 51-year-old Chatham man of No fixed address, was arrested and charged for:
- Failure to Comply with Probation Order
The accused was transported to Chatham-Kent Police headquarters where he was held pending a bail hearing.
CK26068617 – Robbery/Bail Violation
Date: September 15, 2026, 08:32 hrs
Location: Grand Avenue West, Chatham, ON
On Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at approximately 08:32 hrs, members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of a possible robbery in progress at a business on Grand Avenue West in Chatham.
Through investigation, officers learned man had approached a woman in a parking lot, asking her for a ride, when the woman declined the man grabbed her cellular phone and wrist.
A struggled ensured over the phone, during which the woman was able to separate herself from the man.
Further investigation revealed that the man was bound by an undertaking condition prohibiting him rom entering the Municipality of Chatham-Kent except for the purpose of attending court.
As a result of the investigation, a 30-year-old Windsor man was arrested and charged with:
- Robbery
- Failure to comply with Undertaking
The accused was transported to Chatham-Kent Police headquarters where he was held pending a bail hearing.
