CK26067240 – Possession over

Location: Murray Street, Wallaceburg, ON
On Thursday, September 10, 2026, at approximately 10:25 hrs, members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to the area of Murray Street in Wallaceburg after receiving an Automated Licence Plate Recognition (ALPR) notification regarding a possible stolen vehicle.
Officers located the vehicle and through investigation determined it had been reported stolen from the Durham Region. Further investigation revealed the licence plates attached to the vehicle had also been reported stolen locally.
As a result of the investigation a 41-year-old man from Thamesville was arrested in connection with the investigation and charged with:
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000
The accused was then brought to Chatham-Kent Police headquarters where he was released on an undertaking with a future court date of December 8, 2026.
