Date: September 9, 2026, 2015hrs Location: Chatham
On September 9, 2026, at approximately 2015hrs, police were dispatched to an address in Chatham regarding a dispute.
A 31-year-old Chatham-Kent male was arrested for the following offences:
- Assault Cause Bodily Harm
- Assault With a Weapon
- Uttering Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm
He was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters and released on a Form 10 with a court date of October 20, 2026.
The victim sought medical attention as a result of the incident.
Child Abandonment – CK26067113
Date: September 9, 2026, 2316hrs Location: Chatham
On September 9, 2026, at approximately 2316hrs, police attended a Chatham residence after receiving information that a child may have been left home alone.
Police attended and found the child alone in the unlocked residence with no supervision.
A caregiver returned while police were on scene.
As a result, a 31-year-old Chatham-Kent female was arrested for Abandoning Child.
She was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service’s headquarters and released on a Form 10 with a court date of December 8, 2026.
