On May 26, 2026, at 20:32 hrs., emergency crews were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of McNaughton Avenue East and Taylor Avenue. The incident involved a single vehicle and a lone pedestrian.
Emergency services arrived on the scene, where a 28-year-old female from Chatham sustained serious injuries. The driver, a 66-year-old female from Chatham, was not injured.
Due to the severity of the collision, the Traffic Management Unit was called in to handle the investigation, resulting in the temporary closure of the intersection at McNaughton Avenue and Taylor Avenue. The roadway has since been reopened.
