IPV/Impaired Driving – CK25060409
Date: October 6, 2025, Time: 07:41 hrs., Location: Little Street, Wheatley
On October 6, 2025, at approximately 07:41hours, officers responded to a disturbance on Little Street in Wheatley.
Upon arrival officers learned a verbal argument between the man and his ex-common law partner escalated to threats. The man attempted to flee on a motorcycle but fell due to intoxication.
The 45-year-old Wheatley man was arrested and transported to the Ontario Provincial Police Leamington Detachment for breath tests and subsequently to Chatham-Kent Police headquarters. He was charged with Uttering Threats, Impaired Operation of a Vehicle, Refusal to Provide a Breath Sample, Assaulting a Police Officer, and several Highway Traffic Act violations.
Once sober, the man was released on a Form 10 with conditions and a future court date of October 21, 2025.

Date: October 6, 2025, Time: 15:21 hrs., Location: Merritt Avenue, Chatham
On October 6, 2025, at approximately 15:12hours, police responded to a disturbance on Merritt Avenue in Chatham. It was reported that a man and woman were engaged in a physical altercation.
Upon arrival, officers separated the individuals and learned that the altercation had escalated from a discussion over hockey cards. Through investigation, both individuals were charged with one count of assault.
The 20-year-old Chatham woman was transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters and subsequently released on a Form 10 with conditions and a future court date of November 10, 2025.
The 17-year-old Chatham man was released on a Form 10 to the custody of his mother with a future court date.
Impaired Driving – CK25060625
Date: October 7, 2025, Time: 02:11 hrs., Location: Raleigh Street, Chatham
On October 7, 2025, at approximately 02:11hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop on Raleigh Street and suspected that the driver was under the influence of alcohol. A roadside test was conducted which led to an arrest.
The individual was subsequently transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters for further breath tests.
The 46-year-old Chatham woman was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit. She was released on a Form 10 with conditions and is scheduled to appear in court on October 27, 2025.
