The Chatham-Kent Police Service (CKPS) responded to a variety of incidents over the past 24 hours. Below is a summary of the key events.

Warrants – CK25065654

Date: October 30, 2025, Time: 16:38 hrs, Location: Wellington Street, Wellington Street, Chatham

On October 24, 2025, at approximately 23:00 hrs, the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of disturbance at a local auditorium on Wellington Street West, Chatham.

Investigations revealed that an individual used an object to break the front windowpane of the entrance doors and caused damage the exterior lighting of the property.

Through the use of CCTV cameras, the accused was identified as a 31-year-old male from Chatham-Kent. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

On October 30, 2025, at approximately 16:38 hrs the accused, who is the subject of an endorsed outstanding warrant was located on Wellington Street, Chatham. He was subsequently, charged with the following offence:

  • Count 1: Mischief under $5000

The individual was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters, where he is currently being held for bail.

Date: October 30, 2025, Time: 1:32 hrs, Location: King Street, Queen Street, Wellington Street, Chatham

On October 30, 2025, the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to several reports of property damage on King Street, Queen Street and Wellington Street, Chatham.

Investigations revealed that approximately 1:15 hrs, a male accused was observed smashing the rear window of a parked vehicle on King Street East, Chatham.

At approximately 1:16 hrs., police were notified of another incident on Wellington Street involving the accused. Investigations revealed that the waiting booth of a bus stop was shattered.

At approximately 01:17 hrs, officers attended a property on Wellington Street West, after receiving a report that the accused struck the window of a door of the property located on the southside of the building.

At approximately 01:20hrs, the accused then attended Queen Street and struck the front window of a business.

At approximately 1:24 hrs., officers attended to a business on King Street West, after the store’s alarm system was triggered. Upon arrival, officers discovered that the front door had been shattered.

Through the use of surveillance footage and CCTV cameras, the accused was identified as a 40-year-old male from Chatham-Kent.

Shortly after, at approximately 1:32 hrs, the accused was located on Wellington Street and arrested. He was subsequently charged with the following:

  • Mischief Under $5,000 x 5

The accused also possessed an outstanding warrant for his arrest for several charges including Theft Under $5,000, Possession Under $5,000, Fraud Under $5,000, Identity theft and the Unauthorized use of a Credit Card x3.

The individual was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters, where he is currently being held for bail.
