On Tuesday, September 22, 2026, a 24-year-old man from Walpole Island failed to attend court in Chatham-Kent in relation to an assault peace officer charge. As a result for failing to attend court, a warrant was issued and an additional charge was added for failing to attend court.
On Wednesday, October 28, 2026, a 24-year-old man from Walpole Island was arrested in the Sarnia area on an outstanding warrant with the Chatham-Kent Police by Sarnia Police.
The warrant was related to previous charges of:
- Fail to attend court
- Assault peace officer
The male was then transported to Wallaceburg in Chatham-Kent, where Chatham-Kent Police took custody of the male without incident.
The male was then brought to Chatham-Kent Police headquarters where he was held pending a bail hearing.
