The Chatham-Kent Police Service (CKPS) responded to a variety of incidents over the past 24 hours. Below is a summary of the key events.

Arrest, Theft – CK25064251

Date: October 23, 2025, Time: 22:37 hrs, Location: St. Clair Street, Chatham

On October 23, 2025, at approximately 22:37 hrs, the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of theft at a local retail store on St. Clair Street, Chatham.  

Through investigation, it was discovered that three suspects had entered the business, selected several items of merchandise, concealed them and left the premises with a large quantity of items in a vehicle.

Through the use of surveillance footage, officers were able to identify the accused as a 41-year-old female from Chatham, a 47-year-old male and a 30-year-old male, both from Windsor.

At 22:58 hrs, police located the vehicle occupied with the suspects on Princess Street North, Chatham.

Subsequently, the individuals were each charged with the following offences:

  • Count 1: Theft Under $5,000
  • Count 2: Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000

The accused were transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters. The 41-year-old female is currently being held for bail. the 47-year-old male and the 30-year-old male were both released with a scheduled future court date for November 25, 2025.

Arrest, Theft – CK25064236

Date: October 23, 2025, Time: 20:12 hrs, Location: Catherine Street, Blenheim

On July 10, 2025, at approximately 16:27 hrs., the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a single motor vehicle collision where a motor vehicle travelling Southbound on Queen Street, left the roadway and struck a hydro pole on Queen Street, Chatham.

Chatham-Kent Police Service, along with other Emergency Response Services, located the individual. The driver a 63-year-old male from Blenheim sustained non-life-threatening injuries. He was provided medical attention and was transported to the hospital.

The accused was later charged with the following offences:

  • Count 1: Impaired Operation of a Conveyance

Additional tests were conducted which the accused failed. He was charged additionally with the following offence:

  • Count 2: Operation while Impaired – Blood alcohol concentration over (80 plus)

The accused was provided with a court date for July 2, 2025, which he failed to attend. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

On October 23, 2025, the who is the subject of an endorsed arrest warrant for Impaired Operation (CK25040316) was located and arrested in Blenheim by Chatham-Kent Police Officers.

The individual was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters, where he was released with a scheduled future court date of November 10, 2025.

Warrants – CK25064135

Date: October 23, 2025, Time: 11:20 hrs, Location: Grand Ave. W. Chatham

On December 15, 2024, at approximately 10:23 hrs, a motor vehicle travelling westbound on Gosnell Line in Howard Township where the vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree.

Chatham-Kent Police Service, along with other Emergency Response Services, located the individual. The driver a 45-year-old male from Ridgetown sustained non-life-threatening injuries. He was provided medical attention and was transported to the hospital.

The accused was later charged with the following offences:

  • Count 1: Operation While Impaired Cause Bodily Harm

Additional tests were conducted, which the accused failed. He was charged further with the following offence:

  • Count 2: Operation while Impaired – Blood alcohol concentration over (80 plus)

The accused was provided with a court date for February 12, 2025, which he failed to appear. An endorsed warrant was issued for his arrest (RM25001111). He was charged additionally with the following:

  • Count 3 – Fail to Attend – Fingerprints

A warrant for the accused’s arrest was subsequently issued.

On October 23, 2025, the accused who is the subject of a first instance warrant for a Failure to Attend Court warrant was located and arrested.

The individual was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters, where he was released with conditions and a scheduled future court date.
