CK26078652 – Breach of probation

Location: Chatham, ON
On Thursday, October 22, 2026, at approximately 14:01 hrs, members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to an address in Chatham on the North West side of town.
Through investigation, police learned that 46-year-old Chatham man had contacted his daughter contrary to his probation order.
As a result of the investigation, the 46-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with:
- Fail to comply with probation order
The accused was brought to Chatham-Kent Police headquarters where he was released on a form 10 undertaking with a future court date of November 30, 2026.
CK26078743 – Weapons
Date: October 22, 2026, 21:35 hrs
Location: Grand Avenue West, Chatham, ON
On Thursday, October 21, 2026, at approximately 21:35 hrs, members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service were called to an address on Grand Avenue West in Chatham in relation to a weapons complaint.
Through investigation police learned that a man had been observed near the main entrance to the property holding a kitchen-style knife. The man was asked to leave the property, to which he turned toward security and raised the knife in a threatening manner.
Police located the man in relation to this matter and effected an arrest without incident. Further investigation revealed that the man was bound by a probation n order prohibiting him from possessing weapons.
As a result of the investigation the 39-year-old Chatham man was charged with:
- Breach of probation order
- Possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose
- Two counts of assault with a weapon
The accused was transported to Chatham-Kent Police headquarters where he was held pending a bail hearing.
