The Chatham-Kent Police Service (CKPS) responded to a variety of incidents over the past 24 hours. Below is a summary of the key events.
Traffic Enforcement/ Arrest – CK25067077
Date: November 6, 2025, Time: 16:12 hrs, Location: Grand Avenue West, Chatham
On November 6, 2025, at approximately 16:12 hrs, the Chatham-Kent Police Service officers conducted a traffic stop at Keil Drive and Park Avenue West, Chatham.
An Automatic Licence Plate Reader (ALPR) alerted officers to a possible suspended driver.
Through investigation, it was confirmed that the driver, a 41-year-old female from Chatham, was prohibited from operating a motor vehicle.
As a result, she was arrested and charged with the following offence:
- Count 1: Operation While Prohibited
The individual was also given a Part III summons and her vehicle was towed.
The individual was released with conditions and a scheduled court date of December 8, 2025.
Traffic Enforcement – CK25067145
Date: November 6, 2025, Time: 21:18 hrs, Location: Earl Drive, Chatham
On November 6, 2025, at approximately 21:18 hrs, Chatham-Kent Police Service officers conducted a traffic stop in Chatham as part of ongoing traffic enforcement efforts.
A 57-year-old male from Chatham was stopped and issued a Provincial Offence Notice (PON) for disobeying a stop sign after failing to stop on Earl Drive, Chatham.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service would like to remind all motorists to always obey traffic-controlled signs and signals. Coming to a complete stop helps prevent collisions and keeps our roads safe for everyone.
Traffic Enforcement – H.T.A – CK25067119
Date: November 6, 2025, Time: 18:39 hrs, Location: Grand Avenue West, Chatham
On November 6, 2025, at approximately 18:39 hrs, Chatham-Kent Police Service conducted a traffic stop.
Through investigation, it was determined that a 25-year-old female from Chatham had proceeded through a red light on Grand Avenue West, Chatham. The driver was issued a ticket under the Highway Traffic Act for failing to stop at a red light.
Motorist are reminded to obey all traffic signals and exercise caution at intersections to ensure the safety of all road users.
