The Chatham-Kent Police Service (CKPS) responded to a variety of incidents over the past 24 hours. Below is a summary of the key events.

Weapons – CK25066712

Date: November 4, 2025, Time: 18:10 hrs, Location: Queens Line, Raleigh Township

On November 4, 2025, at approximately 18:10 hrs, the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of a 78-year-old male from Chatham in possession of a firearm at a trailer located on Queen’s Line, Raleigh Township.

Upon arrival, officers established containment and were assisted by the Emergency Response Team (ERT) and the Drone Unit.

Officers safely secured the area and continued communication efforts with the individual involved.

A short time later, police entered the trailer and located the individual, who was unresponsive. He was transported to the hospital for medical assessment. No injuries were reported in this incident to officers or to the public.

The accused is currently facing the following charges:

  • Pointing a Firearm x 2
  • Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose x 2

FTC – CK25066650

Date: November 4, 2025, Time: 18:10 hrs, Location: Grand Avenue West, Chatham

On November 4, 2025, at approximately 18:10 hrs the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to report of an individual breaching his release conditions.

Investigations revealed that a 35-year-old male from Chatham was not at his approved residence and had been observed at a local business on Grand Avenue West, Chatham. On June 11, 2025, the individual was released on conditions requiring him to remain at his residence at all times, except for medical emergencies or when in the direct presence of his surety.

He was also subject to GPS monitoring as part of his release conditions.

Officers attended the area and located a 35-year-old male from Chatham. Subsequently, he was arrested and charged with the following offence:

  • Count #1: Fail to Comply with Release Order

He was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters where; he is being held for bail.
