The Chatham-Kent Police Service (CKPS) responded to a variety of incidents over the past 24 hours. Below is a summary of the key events.

Warrants – CK25066352

Date: November 3, 2025, Time: 10:00 hrs, Location: 24 Third Street, Chatham

On April 17, 2023, at approximately 19:00 hrs, the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of a stolen vehicle from a business property on Grand Avenue East, Chatham.

Through investigation, it was revealed that a vehicle had been taken from the property. Officers reviewed surveillance footage and were able to identify the suspect involved in the theft as a 39-year-old male from Windsor.

On April 18, 2023, at approximately 15:46 hrs the vehicle was located abandoned on Prince Street North, Chatham.

On April 21, 2023, at approximately 12:30 p.m. officers located and arrested the suspect. He was subsequently charged with the following offences:

  • Count 1: Theft of Motor Vehicle
  • Count 2: Possession of Stolen Property over $5,000

Further investigations revealed that the accused was also in breach of a probation order from a previous incident.

The individual was additionally charged with the following:

  • Count 3: Failure to Comply with Probation Order

The accused was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters where, he was released with a future court date of May 29, 2025, which he failed to attend. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

On November 3, 2025, at approximately 10:00 hrs, the accused surrendered himself at the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters. He was arrested on an outstanding unendorsed warrant for failing to attend court. He was released with a future court date of December 12, 2025.

Date: November 3, 2025, Time: 20:44 hrs, Location: Chatham

On November 3, 2025, at approximately 20:44 hrs, the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of an assault related to an intimate partner violence incident in Chatham.  

Upon arrival, officers spoke with the accused, a 32-year-old male from Chatham and the victim, a 31-year-old female also from Chatham. Investigations revealed that a verbal argument escalated into a physical assault, resulting in the victim sustaining non-life-threatening injuries. Additional medical attention was not required.

As a result, the male individual was arrested and charged with the following offences:

  • Assault
  • Assault Cause Bodily Harm – Choking x2

The accused was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters, where he is currently being held for bail.
