The Chatham-Kent Police Service (CKPS) responded to a variety of incidents over the past 24 hours. Below is a summary of the key events.

Arrest, Warrants – CK25071086

Date: November 26, 2025, Time: 10:06 hrs, Location: Nelson Street, Wallaceburg

On June 6, 2025, the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of theft in Wallaceburg.

Investigations revealed that a victim, a 26-year-old female from Wallaceburg, discovered that her vehicle had been broken into and her wallet, bank cards and several items were stolen. Shortly after the theft, multiple unauthorized transactions were made at businesses in Wallaceburg (CK25035425).

Through video surveillance, officers identified the suspect as a 31-year-old male from Chatham-Kent.

The individual was located and arrested on McNaughton Avenue, Wallaceburg. He was subsequently charged with the following offences:

  • Count 1: Theft Under $5,000.00
  • Count 2: Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
  • Count 3: Fraud Under $5,000.00
  • Count 4: Unauthorized Use of Credit Card Data

The accused was later released with a future court date of July 28, 2025, which he failed to attend, a warrant was issued for his arrest.

On November 26, 2025, at approximately 10:06 hrs, the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision on Nelson Street, Wallaceburg.

Investigations revealed an ATV had struck a structure and the driver was identified as the same accused. There were no reported injuries. Further investigations confirmed that he was wanted on the outstanding warrant.

Subsequently, the accused was arrested and additionally charged with mischief and driving while prohibited. The individual was also issued several Provnincial Offence Notices. He was later released with conditions and a scheduled future court date.

Arrest, Warrants – CK25071124

Date: November 26, 2025, Time: 14:01hrs, Location: 24 Third Street, Chatham

On November 26, 2025, at approximately 07:32 hrs, the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a domestic dispute at a residence in Chatham (CK25071058).

Investigations revealed that a verbal dispute had escalated, during which an accused, a 40-year-old male from Chatham physically assaulted a 38-year-old female at a residence and forcibly confined the victim.

Officers formed reasonable grounds to arrest and charge the accused with the following offences:

  • Count 1 – Assault
  • Count 2 – Forcible Confinement

A warrant was issued for his arrest.

On November 26, 2025, at approximately, 14:01 hrs, the individual who is the subject of an outstanding warrant in the aforementioned IPV incident, surrendered himself at the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters. He was arrested and charged for the listed offences.

The accused was later released with conditions and a future court date of December 29, 2025.

A red 1988 Corvette, vehicle was stolen on Park Avenue East, Chatham between the period of October 31, 2025, and November 2025.
