The Chatham-Kent Police Service (CKPS) responded to a variety of incidents over the past 24 hours. Below is a summary of the key events.
November 24, 2025, Time: 19:33 hrs, Location: St. Clair Street, Chatham
On November 24, 2025, at approximately 19:33 hrs the Chatham-Kent Police Service received an impaired driving complaint from Sarnia Police Service. The Ontario Provincial Police transferred the information to CKPS, advising of a vehicle of concern travelling within Chatham.
Officers located the vehicle on St. Clair Street, Chatham and identified the driver as a 41-year-old male from Sarnia who displayed signs of being impaired.
The individual was arrested and transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters for further breath testing, where he provided two samples above the legal limit.
He was charged with the following offences:
- Impaired Operation
- Operation While Over 80 mg
The accused was later released with a future court date of December 30, 2025.

Arrest, Impaired- CK25070851
Date: November 24, 2025, Time: 22:46 hrs, Location: Middle Line, Harwich
On November 24, 2025, at approximately 22:46 hrs Chatham-Kent Police Service officers conducted a traffic stop on Middle Line, Harwich Township. During the stop, after observing a vehicle fail to stop at an amber light.
During the investigation, the officer made an Approved Screen Device (ASD) demand. The driver, a 31-year-old male from Chatham provided a sample with resulted in Fail. The driver was arrested for the following offence:
Operation While Over 80 mg
The individual was issued a 3-day licence suspension under the Highway Traffic Act, a Provincial Offence Notice for a traffic violation and was later released unconditionally.
Arrest, IPV Mischief – CK25070867
Date: November 24, 2025, Time: 00:53 hrs, Location: Chatham
On November 24, 2025, at approximately 00:53 hrs, the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to report of mischief at a residence in Chatham.
Investigation revealed that while the complainant, a 32-year-old male from Chatham was out of his home the accused, a 31-year-old female also from Chatham attended his residence and intentionally damaged several of his personal belongings. Further investigation also revealed that the accused admitted to causing the damage.
Windsor Police Service located and arrested the accused on Princess Street, Windsor. She was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters where she was charged with the following offence:
- Count 1: Mischief Under $5,000
She was later released with a future court date.

R.I.D.E
R.I.D.E- CK25070840
Date: November 24, 2025, Time: 20:44 hrs, Location: Murray Street, Wallaceburg
On November 24, 2025, at approximately 20:44 hrs, the Chatham-Kent Police Service conducted a R.I.D.E (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) spot check on Murray Street, Wallaceburg.
During the check, 40 vehicles were stopped. Officers issued Two Highway Traffic Act Cautions and one Approved Screening Device test was administered. No arrests were made.
