Chatham-Kent, Ontario: The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 211calls for service in the last 24 hours. Six people were arrested and two were on outstanding warrants.
IPV Arrest CK24059715 – James St, Wallaceburg CK24059715
At 6:16 am on November 21,2024 Police were contacted about a potential assault taking place. When attending the area a 23 year old woman was located running down the street with obvious injuries. An investigation revealed the woman had been assaulted and held against her will. A 23 year old Wallaceburg man was arrested outside of Chatham-Kent with the assistance of the OPP. The man was charged with assault, assault with a weapon, assault bodily harm, utter threats and forcible confinement. The man was transported to Chatham-Kent Headquarters and held for bail.
Traffic stop-vehicle impounded Dufferin Ave, Wallaceburg CK24059737
At 8:15 am on November 21,2024 a vehicle was observed on Dufferin Ave Wallaceburg with a man believed to be unlicensed. A traffic stop was conducted and a 35 year old Walpole Island man found to be operating a vehicle while suspended and prohibited. The driver was issued 3 summonses. Two for drive suspended and one for drive disqualified. The vehicle being driven was towed and impounded for 45 days.
Man arrested on Failing to appear in court Sarnia Jail CK24059750
A 33 year old Sarnia man was charged with a rental fraud in 2023. The man has failed to appear in court on 3 separate occasions. The man was being released from the Sarnia Jail for other charges. He was placed under arrest and transported to Chatham-Kent Courthouse for a bail hearing.
Stolen Boat Mirwin Rd, Chatham CK24059761 On November 21, 2024 a boat was reported taken overnight on Mirwin Road Chatham-Kent. The boat was recovered later in the day but missing a 25hp Mercury outboard motor and electric trolling motor.

Vehicle stop Alexandra Ave Chatham CK24059771
Police stopped a vehicle on Alexandra Ave, Chatham. A 56 year old Chatham man was driving a vehicle with improper plates. It was discovered that the man was also on conditions not to be around the passenger located in the vehicle. The man arrested and charged with Failing to comply with undertaking, driving while suspended, no insurance, use plates not authorized and operate vehicle no licence. The man was held for bail for violating his previous release.
