The Chatham-Kent Police Service (CKPS) responded to a variety of incidents over the past 24 hours. Below is a summary of the key events.

Arrest, Warrants – CK25069811

Date: November 20, 2025, Time: 09:42 hrs, Location: Harvey Street, Chatham

On September 22, 2025, at approximately 13:22 hrs, an individual entered a local retail store on Wellington Street West, Chatham (CK25000490).

Investigations revealed that the suspect selected several items and proceeded past all points of sale without attempting to pay for the concealed merchandise.

Through the use of surveillance footage, the suspect was identified as a 36-year-old female from Chatham. Officers formed reasonable grounds to charge the accused with the following offences:

  • Count 1: Theft Under $5000
  • Count 2: Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000

On October 3, 2025, the accused was located by police. She was released with a scheduled court date which she failed to appear on two occasions. A warrant was issued for her arrest.

On November 20, 2025, at approximately 09:42 hrs, the Chatham-Kent Police Service conducted a person stop on Harvey Street, Chatham. During the interaction it was revealed that the accused possessed several outstanding warrants, including failing to attend court and theft related offences.

She was arrested on the strength of an outstanding warrant and transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters, where she is remanded into custody until her next video court appearance on November 25, 2025.

Arrest, Warrants – CK25069812

Date: November 20, 2025, Time: 09:43hrs, Location: Grand Avenue West. Chatham

On November 11, 2025, at approximately 23:16 hrs, the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a disturbance at a residence in Blenheim (CK25061710).

Investigations revealed that a 25-year-old female from Blenheim, was physically assaulted by a 23-year-old male also from Blenheim.

The accused was later located by police on McGeorge Street, Blenheim and charged with the following offences:

  • Assault x 2

He was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters, where he was released with a scheduled court date of November 17, 2025, which he failed to appear. A warrant was issued for his arrest and on November 20, 2025, the accused was located at Grand Avenue West, Chatham and was arrested on a bench warrant for assault.

Arrest, Warrants – CK25069837

Date: November 20, 2025, Time: 11:14 hrs, Location: Taylor Ave. Chatham

On June 18, 2025, Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a domestic related incident in Chatham between an accused, an 18-year-old male from Chatham and an 18-year-old female also from Chatham (CK24053838).

The investigation revealed a series of incidents involving the accused between the period of 2023 and 2024. As a result, officers formed reasonable grounds to charge the accused with multiple offences:

  • Count 1: Forcible Confinement
  • Count 2: Mischief under $5,000
  • Count 3: Assault Count 4: Assault with a weapon
  • Count 5: Assault
  • Count 6: Uttering Threats – Cause Death or Bodily Harm
  • Count 7: Criminal Harassment
  • Count 8: Uttering Threats – Cause Death or Bodily Harm
  • Count 9: Criminal Harassment
  • Count 10: Mischief under $5,000
  • Count 11: Uttering Threats – Cause Death or Bodily
  • Count 12: Criminal Harassment
  • Count 13: Uttering Threats – Cause Death or Bodily Harm
  • Count 14: Sexual Assault

A warrant was issued for his arrest (CK25035507). The accused was located and arrested on June 19, 2025, and was released with conditions, which he was found to be in breach of.  A warrant was issued for his arrest.

On November 20, 2025, the accuse was arrested on an outstanding surety relief warrant. He was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters where, he is remanded into custody until hi next video court appearance on November 24, 2025.

Arrest, Impaired – CK25069979

Date: November 20, 2025, Time: 02:50hrs, Location: Queens line, Raleigh Township

On November 20, 2025, at approximately 02:50 hrs the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a vehicle observed facing the wrong direction on Queens line, Raleigh Township.

Upon investigation, officers located the driver, a 19-year-old female from Raleigh Township seated behind the wheel displaying signs impairment.

The individual was arrested and transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters for additional testing which she failed.

Subsequently she was charged with the following offences:

  • Count 1: Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)
  • Count 2: Operation while Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs

The accused was later released with a future court date of December 9, 2025
