The Chatham-Kent Police Service (CKPS) responded to a variety of incidents over the past 24 hours. Below is a summary of the key events.

Arrest/Warrants – CK25069145

Date: November 17, 2025, Time: 08:49hrs, Location: Third Street, Chatham

On November 12, 2025, at approximately 11:42 hrs, the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence on Wedgewood Avenue, in Chatham (CK25068265).

Investigations revealed that an accused, a 39-year-old female from Chatham, attended the residence of the complainant, a 39-year-old female also from Chatham and made threats to cause harm before fleeing the premises. Further investigations, including a review of surveillance footage, confirmed the threats that were made.

Officers formed reasonable and probable grounds to charge the accused with the following:

  • Count 1 – Uttering Threats – Cause Death or Bodily Harm

A warrant was issued for her arrest.

On November 17, 2025, at approximately 08:49 hrs, the accused who was the subject of outstanding warrant was located and arrested. She was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters, where she was released with a future court date of December 30, 2025.

Warrants – CK25069200

Date: November 17, 2025, Time: 14:28hrs, Location: CKPS HQ

On November 14, 2025, at approximately 19:56 hrs, Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of an intimate partner violence incident in Tupperville (CK25068724).

Investigations revealed that the accused, a 31-year-old male from Bothwell, had uttered threats towards a 30-year-old female from Chatham.

Through the use of CCTV footage, the accused was also captured approaching the victim’s vehicle and physically striking it, resulting in damage before leaving the premises.

Officers formed reasonable grounds to charge the accused with the following offences:

  • Count 1 – Uttering Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm
  • Count 2 – Mischief under $5,000

Subsequently, a warrant was issued for his arrest.

On November 17, 2025, at approximately 14:28 hrs, the accused, who was the subject of an outstanding warrant for IPV related offences, surrendered himself at the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters. He was arrested and later released with the scheduled court date of December 29, 2025.

Arrest/Weapons (IPV) – CK25069250

Date: November 17, 2025, Time: 18:55hrs, Location: Wallace Street, Wallaceburg

On November 17, 2025, at approximately 18:55 hrs, the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of a domestic related disturbance in a parking lot in Wallaceburg. Witnessed reported that a male and a female were engaged in a verbal and physical altercation near a vehicle.

Investigations revealed that the accused, a 21-year-old male from Wallaceburg, threw a beer can towards a 19-year-old female from Walpole Island. Further investigations also determined that a child was inside the vehicle at the time and had been affected during the confrontation.

Officers attended the location and located the child inside the vehicle. The child was assessed and found to be unharmed.

Subsequently, the accused was arrested and charged with the following offence:

  • Count 1: Assault with a Weapon

He was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters, where he was later released with conditions and a scheduled court date of December 29, 2025.

Be on the Lookout – Stolen ATV

Chatham-Kent Police Service is investigating a Break and Enter that occurred over the past week at a property near Tilbury. An unknown suspect(s) forced their way into a barn and stole a red Honda ATV with a sprayer attached to the rear.
