The Chatham-Kent Police Service (CKPS) responded to a variety of incidents over the past 72 hours. Below is a summary of the key events.

Arrest/RPG – CK25068695

Date: November 14, 2025, Time: 12:49 hrs, Location: 786 Dufferin Ave. Wallaceburg

On November 14, 2025, at approximately 1:33 hrs, the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of an intimate partner violence incident at a residence in Wallaceburg.

Investigations revealed that several occurrences had taken place during the previous day involving the accused, a 36-year-old male and the victim, a 30-year-old female, both from Wallaceburg (CK25068629).

On November 13, 2025, the accused attended the victim’s residence and physically assaulted her. Shortly after the assault, the accused proceeded to a stairwell and punched a glass window, causing it to shatter.

The accused later re-entered the premises and physically assaulted the victim again before leaving the premises. Additional medical assistance was required for the victim.

Police also formed reasonable probable grounds to charge the accused in this incident for the following offences:

  • Count 1: Assault Causing Bodily Harm
  • Count 2: Mischief Under $5,000
  • Count 3: Assault

A warrant was also issued for his arrest.

On November 14, 2025, at approximately 12: 49 hrs, the accused attended the Chatham-Kent Police Service in Wallaceburg, where he surrendered himself on an outstanding warrant (CK25068629).

The individual was released with conditions and given a future court date of December 16, 2025.

Arrest/Theft – CK25068961

Date: November 15, 2025, Time: 21:22 hrs, Location: St. Clair St., Chatham

On November 15, 2025, at approximately 21:22 hrs, the Chatham-Kent Police Service received a report of vehicle theft from a residence. The complainant, a 75-year-old male from Wallaceburg, reported that his vehicle was stolen from his residence on Margaret Avenue in Wallaceburg.

Later that evening, the vehicle was seen travelling southbound on St. Clair Street with its lights off and running a red light. Police conducted a traffic stop and the sole occupant was identified as a 47-year-old female from Walpole Island.

The accused was subsequently charged with the following:

  • Count 1: Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000

Further investigations also revealed that the individual was also driving with a suspended licence and was additionally charged with the following:

  • Count 2: Driving while Under Suspension

The individual was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters, where she is currently held for bail.

Arrest/Theft – CK25069059

Date: November 16, 2025, Time 14:19 hrs, Location: St. Clair Street., Chatham

On November 16, 2025, at approximately 14:19 hrs, the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of theft from a local retail store on St. Clair Street, Chatham.

Investigation revealed that two individuals, a 66-year-old female and a 54-year-old female, both from Sarnia, were at the retail store, concealing merchandise inside their bags.

Loss prevention staff observed the individuals selecting multiple items and making no attempt to pay. One individual was detained by staff, while the second attempted to hide within the store.

Police located and arrested both suspects. They were subsequently charged with the following offences:

  • Theft Under $5,000
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000

The individuals were transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters, where they were released with conditions and a scheduled court date for December 22, 2025.
