The Chatham-Kent Police Service (CKPS) responded to a variety of incidents over the past 48 hours. Below is a summary of the key events.

Arrest – CK25068348

Date: November 12, 2025, Time: 19:54 hrs, Location: Wellington Street West, Chatham

On November 12, 2025, at approximately 19:54 hrs, the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of an individual causing damage to property outside a residence on Wellington Street West, Chatham.

Investigations revealed that a 35-year-old female from Chatham, was observed by a 63-year-old female complainant breaking several items on the property. When approached by the complainant, the accused assaulted the complainant by pushing her to the ground before fleeing the scene on foot.

The accused was located by police and arrested. She was charged with the following offences:

  • Count 1: Mischief Under $5,000
  • Count 2: Assault

The individual was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters, where she is currently being held for bail.

Arrest/Weapons – CK25068402

Date: November 12, 2025, Time: 00:55 hrs, Location: McNaughton Avenue West, Chatham

On November 12, 2025, at approximately 00:55 hrs, the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of a weapon related incident at a residence on McNaughton Avenue West, Chatham.

Investigation revealed that the argument had occurred between two individuals, a 21-year-old male accused and a 21-year-old male victim, both from Chatham. During the dispute, the accused retrieved a weapon and attempted to assault the victim, who was uninjured.

Officers developed reasonable grounds and arrested the accused, who was subsequently charged with the following offences:

  • Count 1: Assault with a Weapon
  • Count 2: Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose

The accused was released with a scheduled future court date of December 16, 2025.
