Date: May 19, 2026, 0939hrs Location: Wellington Street, Chatham
On May 19, 2026, at approximately 0939hrs, police were dispatched to a Chatham residence after receiving a 9-1-1 call regarding an unwanted person.
A male party had attended the residence and gained entry by pushing past the resident.
No injuries were reported.
A 26-year-old Chatham male was arrested for the following offences:
- Unlawfully in a Dwelling House
- Assault
- Forcible Confinement
He was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police service headquarters and later released on a Form 10 with a future court date of July 8, 2026.

Date: May 19, 2026, 1502hrs Location: Wellington Street, Chatham
On May 19, 2026, at approximately 1502hrs, police were dispatched to a Wellington Street address after a window was broken.
Prior to police arrival, the suspect left on foot.
Witnesses identified the individual, with police locating them a short distance away.
A 30-year-old Chatham-Kent female was arrested for Mischief Over $5,000.
She was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters and held for bail.
