Motor Vehicle Collision – CK26034086
Date: May 14, 2026, 0804hrs Location: Richmond Street, Chatham
On May 14, 2026, at approximately 08:04hrs, police were dispatched to an address on Richmond Street in Chatham regarding a motor vehicle collision.
Investigation revealed that the driver of the vehicle collided with a building causing damages. Minor physical injuries were reported.
As a result, a 70-year-old Chatham-Kent woman was issued a Provincial Offences Notice for Careless Driving.
Fire – CK26034219
Date: May 14, 2026, 1342hrs Location: Stewart Line, Wallaceburg
On May 14, 2026, at approximately 13:42hrs, police and firefighters were dispatched to a property on Stewart Line, northwest of Wallaceburg, after a wooden barn caught fire.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the flames. No injuries were reported.
The cause of the blaze is unknown, but is not suspicious in nature.
Breach of the Peace – CK26034228
Date: May 14, 2026, 1416hrs Location: Fourth Street, Chatham
On May 14, 2026, at approximately 08:04hrs, officers responded to a disturbance on Fourth Street in Chatham.
A female party was behaving erratically, blocking traffic and throwing things onto the roadway.
Attempts were made by officers to deescalate the situation, but the behaviour continued.
As a result, a 36-year-old Chatham-Kent woman was arrested for Breach of the Peace.
She was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters and later released unconditionally.
