Location: Keil Drive S, Chatham
On Friday, May 01, 2026, at approximately 10:20hrs, the Chatham-Kent police attended a business located on Keil Drive South in Chatham for reports of a male party refusing to leave the premises. Upon arrival, officers located the male who continued to be non-complaint. The individual was subsequently placed under arrest. During the arrest, he resisted officers but was taken into custody without further incident.
A 52-year-old Chatham male was transported to Chatham-Kent police headquarters and later released with a future court date of June 29, 2026.
He has been charged with one count of Fail to leave premises when directed and one count of resist peace officer.
Intimate partner violence (IPV) – CK26030914

Location: Grand Avenue West, Chatham.
On Saturday, May 02, 2026, at approximately 21:16hrs, the Chatham-Kent police attended an address on Grand Avenue West in Chatham. Police spoke with a female and learned she has been receiving harassing messages from her former partner from multiple different numbers. As a result of the investigation a 42-year-old female from Ridgetown was taken arrested for one count of criminal harassment. The female was transported to Chatham-Kent Police headquarters where she was released on conditions and a future court date of July 6, 2026.
Theft – CK26031050

Location: Margaret Avenue, Chatham.
On Sunday, May 03, 2026, the Chatham-Kent police responded to a report of theft. It is alleged that an individual entered a medical facility and removed personal property belonging to another person. The property was later located and recovered.
Through investigation, police subsequently arrested a 51-year-old Wallaceburg male in connection with the incident. He transported to Chatham-Kent police headquarters and later released with a future court date of August 10, 2026.
The male has been charged with one count of theft under $5000, Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 and one count of Failure to comply with probation order.
