CK26021579– Impaired
Date: March 27, 2026, Time: 15:13 hrs., Location: Baldoon Road, Chatham
On March 27, 2026, at approximately 15:13 hrs. a member of the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of a traffic complaint on Baldoon Road in Chatham.
Investigations revealed that an SUV struck a mailbox and failed to remain at the scene. The vehicle was later located after it pulled onto the curb and into a residential driveway on Balmoral Road, Chatham.
The driver, a 59-year-old female from Chatham, was observed exiting the vehicle and showed signs of impairment. The woman was arrested and transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters where she provided breath samples registering above the legal limit.
Subsequently, she was charged with the following:
- Count 1: Impaired Operation of a conveyance
- Count 2: Blood alcohol concentration over 80 mg
The accused was later released with conditions and a scheduled court date of May 6, 2026.
CK26021580– Warrants
Date: March 27, 2026, Time: 15:18 hrs., Location: Adelaide Street North, Chatham
On May 9, 2025, at approximately 11:14 hrs., the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to an assault at a retail store on Grand Avenue, Chatham.
Investigations revealed that a 34-year-old male accused entered the store and selected items to purchase. During an interaction with an employee, the make became verbally aggressive and when asked to leave the accused threw an object, striking a 52-year-old victim. No injuries were reported.
Officers formed grounds to charge the accused with the following:
- Count 1: Assault
The accused was located on November 11, 2025. He was released with conditions on January 20, 2026. The accused failed to attend court on March 10, 2026. Subsequently, a warrant was issued for his arrest.
On March 27, 2026, at approximately 15:18 hrs., the accused was located on Adelaide Street North, Chatham, by Chatham-Kent Police Service Officers. He was arrested on the strength of his outstanding warrant and was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters where he was released with conditions and a scheduled future court date of April 14, 2026.
CK26021976– MVC/Impaired
Date: March 28, 2026, Time: 02:42 hrs., Location: Grove Road, Tilbury
On March 28, 2026, at approximately 2:42 a.m., members of the Chatham‑Kent Police Service responded to a report of a single motor vehicle collision on Grove Road in Tilbury.
Investigations revealed that a vehicle had lost control and entered a six‑foot ditch partially filled with water. The driver, a 27-year-old female from Tilbury and one occupant sustained only minor injuries and were treated at the scene by paramedics.
The driver displayed signs of impairment and was arrested. She was arrested and transported to the Chatham‑Kent Police Service Headquarters where she provided breath samples above the legal limit.
The accused was charged with:
- Count 1: Operation while impaired
- Count 2: Blood alcohol concentration over 80 mg
She was later released with conditions and a scheduled future court date of April 13, 2026.
CK26022023– Domestic
Date: March 28, 2026, Time: 10:02 hrs., Location: Chatham
On Sunday, March 29, 2026, at approximately 10:02 hrs., police received a report of an intimate partner violence at a residence in Chatham.
Investigations revealed that a 25-year-old male from Chatham assaulted a 20-year-old female from Chatham by throwing objects at the victim. The accused also physically assaulted the victim by choking. The victim sustained non-life threating injuries.
Subsequently, the accused was arrested and charged with the following offences.
- Count 1: Assault
- Count 2: Assault causing bodily harm (choking)
- Count 3: Assault causing bodily harm (choking)
The individual was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters where he was released with conditions and a scheduled court date of May 19, 2026.
CK26022159/CK26022165 – Warrants
Date: March 29, 2026, Time: 23:04 hrs., Location: Joseph Street, Chatham
On March 29, 2025, at approximately 23:04 hrs. the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to multiple calls regarding an individual causing a disturbance on Joseph Street, Chatham.
Investigations revealed that a 31-year-old male from Chatham who was unwanted at a residence and causing disturbances by knocking on the door of a residence on Joseph Street, Chatham and refusing to leave.
At approximately 23:07 hrs, officers arrived and located the male, who was identified as 31-year-old male from Chatham-Kent. The accused had been previously cautioned earlier in the night instructing him not to attend the residence and to stop causing a disturbance in the area.
The individual was arrested for the following:
- Breach of the Peace
He was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service. The accused also possessed an outstanding warrant from Windsor Police Service for Assault and Mischief. He was later released to the Windsor Police Service.
