Aggravated Assault – CK26015467
Date: March 2, 2026, Time: 15:45 hrs., Location: Richmond Street, Chatham
On February 25, 2026, at approximately 10:49 hours, Chatham-Kent Police responded to an aggravated assault at a residence on Thames Street, Chatham. A male victim was found with multiple stab wounds to his legs.
Through investigation, police learned the victim was visiting the residence when the accused arrived. While the victim was asleep in a bedroom, the accused entered armed with an edged weapon and stabbed the victim three times in the legs. The accused then left the residence in a cab.
The victim was subsequently transported to the hospital for medical treatment by Emergency Medical Services (EMS).
On March 2, 2026, the 25-year-old Chatham-Kent man was located, arrested, and transported to police headquarters, where he is being held pending a bail hearing. He has been charged with aggravated assault and fail to comply with probation order.
Surety Relief Warrant – CK26015474
Date: March 2, 2026, Time: 15:55 hrs., Location: King Street, Chatham
On March 2, 2026, at approximately 15:55 hours, Chatham-Kent Police located a woman on King Street and confirmed she was wanted on a surety relief warrant.
The 34-year-old woman was transported to police headquarters and held pending a bail hearing.
Assault Police/Resist Arrest – CK26015570
Date: March 3, 2026, Time: 3:23 hrs., Location: Grand Avenue, Chatham
On March 3, 2026, at approximately 3:23 hours the Chatham-Kent Police responded to a disturbance at the hospital on Grand Avenue, Chatham.
Upon arrival officers located a man who was laying on the floor and refusing to leave the property. When police attempted to take the man into custody, he resisted and struck and officer in the face.
The officer did not sustain injury during the incident.
The 30-year-old Tilbury man was arrested and transported to police headquarters, where he is being held pending a bail hearing. He has been charged with assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest.
