Assault (IPV) – CK26039964
Date: June 3, 2026, 1114hrs Location: Chatham
On June 3, 2026, at approximately 1114hrs, police were contacted by a female reporting a historic assault in Chatham. She advised she was tackled to the ground while trying to contact police after unwanted contact from a male she is on conditions not to communicate with.
She suffered minor physical injuries.
As a result, a 42-year-old Chatham male was arrested for Assault and Facilitate Breach of Release Order.
He was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service’s headquarters and held for bail.

Date: June 3, 2026, 2340hrs Third Street, Chatham
On June 3, 2026, at approximately 2340hrs, a male entered the Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters and proceeded to activate the fire alarm, despite there being no fire.
The male was arrested and proceeded to spit on a police officer after being lodged into cells. At the time of the incident, he was bound by a Probation Order, one of the conditions of which is to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.
As a result, a 31-year-old Chatham man faces the following charges:
- False Alarm of Fire
- Assault Peace Office
- Fail to Comply With Probation Order
He was held for bail.
