Assault – CK26045546
Date: June 23, 2026, 18:32 hrs
Location: Grand Avenue West, Chatham
On June 23, 2026, at approximately 18:32 hrs., the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of an assault at a medical facility on Grand Avenue West, Chatham.
Through investigation, officers learned that security personnel approached a 30-year-old male accused from Chatham-Kent and asked him to leave the area. During the interaction, the accused physically assaulted the security personnel. No injuries were reported.
As result of the investigation, the accused was arrested and charged with the following:
- Count 1: Assault
The individual was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters and later released with a scheduled future court date of September 28, 2026.
Assault – CK26045599
Date: June 23, 2026, 21:53 hrs
Location: Fourth Street, Chatham
On June 23, 2026, at approximately 21:53 hrs., members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of an assault at a residence on Fourth Street, Chatham.
Through investigation, officers learned that a 41-year-old male accused from Chatham attended the residence of a 34-year-old male victim from Chatham and attempted to gain entry. As the victim attempted to close the door, the accused continued trying to enter the residence. Before leaving, the accused allegedly spat at the victim.
Officers located the accused nearby and during the investigation, the accused became increasingly uncooperative and fled from police.
Officers located and arrested the accused, who continued to act aggressively toward officers.
While being transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters, the accused accessed a lighter that was concealed and ignited the rear seatbelt of the police cruiser, causing damage. No injuries were reported.
As a result, the individual was charged with the following offences:
- Count 1: Assault
- Count 2: Obstruct Public or Peace Officer
- Count 3: Mischief Under $5,000
- Count 4: Assault Peace Officer
The accused is currently held for bail.

Date: June 24, 2026, 00:32 hrs
Location: Blenheim
On June 24, 2026, at approximately 00:32 hrs., members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of a dispute at a residence in Blenheim.
The investigation revealed that a 33-year-old female victim had been physically assaulted by means of choking by a 37-year-old male accused from Blenheim.
The accused also uttered threats to the victim and prevented her from leaving the residence. Another 24-year-old victim, also from Blenheim, was physically assaulted by means of choking by the accused.
As a result of the investigation, the accused was arrested and charged with the following:
- Count 1: Assault
- Count 2: Assault causing bodily harm
- Count 3: Utter threats to cause death
- Count 4: Forcible confinement
- Count 5: Assault
- Count 6: Assault causing bodily harm
The accused was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters, where he is currently being held for bail.
