Disturbance – CK26045177
Date: June 21, 2026, 12:05 hrs
Location: Malborough Street, Chatham, ON
On Monday, June 22, 2026, at approximately 12:04 hrs, members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence on Malborough Street in Blenheim.
Upon arrival, officers learned that a dispute between two parties had escalated into a series of violent incidents.
Through investigation, officers learned that the accused had damaged property, threw a cup of tea, and later assaulted the victim by striking and kicking them.
During the investigation, officers located a multi-tool knife believed to belong to the accused. Police determined the accused was bound by a court-order conditions prohibiting him from possession weapons or any item defined as a weapon under the Criminal Code of Canada.
As a result of the investigation, a 24-year-old Blenheim man was arrested and charged with:
- Mischief under $5,000
- Assault with a Weapon
- Assault
- Failure to Comply with Release order
- Failure to Comply with Probation order
The accused was transported to Chatham-Kent Police headquarters where they were held for bail.

Location: Grand Avenue East, Chatham, ON
On Monday, June 22, 2026, at approximately 17:15 hrs, members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service were dispatched to an address on Grand Avenue East in Chatham regarding an unwanted individual who was refusing to leave the area and disrupting a nearby gathering.
Police attended and located the male who was subsequently arrested for Breach of Peace. Upon search incident to arrest, officers located a pocketknife on the accused. Further investigation revealed the man was bound by a court-order undertaking prohibiting him from possession any weapons or any item defined as a weapon under the Criminal Code of Canada.
As a result, the 33-year-old Chatham man was charged with:
- Failure to Comply with Undertaking
The accused was transported to Chatham-Kent Police headquarters where they were held for bail.
