On Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at approximately 01:24 hrs, members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to an address on Queen Street in the city of Chatham for reports of an individual trespassing.
Officers responded and located a 43-year-old Chatham man on the property, who was not authorized to be there.
As a result of the investigation a 43-year-old Chatham man was charged under the Trespass to Property Act and issued a Provincial Offences notice.
Assault (IPV) – CK26044007

Location: Harvey Street, Chatham, ON
On Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at approximately 16:05 hrs, members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to disturbance on Harvey Street in Chatham.
Through investigation, officers learned that an argument occurred between former common-law partners following the end of their relationship. During the incident, the woman pushed the victim and prevented him from leaving the residence.
As a result of the investigation, a 32-year-old Chatham woman was arrested and charged with:
- Assault
- Forcible confinement
The accused was later released from custody with conditions and is scheduled to appear in court for July 28, 2026.

Location: McNaughton Avenue West, Chatham, ON
On Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at approximately 16:41 hrs, members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a residence located on McNaughton Avenue West in the city of Chatham after receiving a report that a man had made threatening gesture toward another individual in an argument.
The complainant reported that the accused ran his thumb across his throat, causing her to fear for her safety.
As a result of the investigation, a 75-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with:
- Uttering threats
The accused was later released from custody with conditions and is scheduled to appear in court for July 27, 2026.
