Assault – CK26043416, CK26041112
Date: June 15, 2026, 1330hrs Location: Thames Street, Chatham
On June 15, 2026 at approximately 1330hrs, police located the suspect from a June 7, 2026 assault investigation on Thames Street in Chatham.
Through investigation, police were able to identify the female, who had assaulted another female in the head with a golf club resulting in non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect and the victim were unknown to each other.
As a result, a 35-year-old Chatham female was arrested for the following offences:
- Assault Cause Bodily Harm
- Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
She was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters and released on a Form 10 with a court date of September 10, 2026.
Impaired Operation – CK26043496
Date: June 15, 2026, 2008hrs Location: McNaughton Avenue West, Chatham
On June 15, 2026 at approximately 2008hrs, police were called to a parking lot on McNaughton Avenue West after a male party was located passed out in a vehicle which was still running.
Police arrested the male for Impaired Operation of a Conveyance – Alcohol.
The male was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters, where he provided two samples of his breath.
A 36-year-old Chatham man was also charged with Impaired Operation – Blood Alcohol Concentration 80-Plus.
He was released on a Form 10 with a future court date of July 27, 2026.
Assault (IPV) – CK26043507
Date: June 15, 2026, 2048hrs Location: Wallaceburg
On June 15, 2026, at approximately 2048hrs, police were dispatched to an address in Wallaceburg regarding an Intimate Partner Violence disturbance.
Through investigation, police learned that a female bit a male in the arm and threatened to stab him. He suffered no permanent physical injuries.
A 23-year-old Wallaceburg female was arrested for the following offences:
- Assault
- Uttering Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm
She was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters and held for bail.
