Dangerous Operation – CK26049242
Date: July 6, 2026, 1441hrs Location: Lacroix Street, Chatham
On July 6, 2026, at approximately 1441hrs, an officer was patrolling Lacroix Street when a motorcycle was observed travelling at a high rate of speed. Police received an Automated Licence Plate Recognition system hit and were able to identify the plate and registered owner.
A short time later, the motorcycle was located hidden in some bushes near Keil Drive.
Through investigation, the officer identified the driver.
As a result, a 20-year-old Chatham male was arrested for:
- Dangerous Operation
- Flight From a Peace Officer
- Driving While Under Suspension
- Drive Motor Vehicle – Perform Stunt
He was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters and released on Form 10 with a court date of September 29, 2026.
Liquor Licence and Control Act – CK26049272
Date: July 6, 2026, 1749hrs Location: Wallace Street, Wallaceburg
On July 6, 2026, at approximately 1749hrs, a male was located passed out in the lobby of a building.
Unable to care for himself, a 39-year-old London male was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters and lodged until sober.
Threats/Mischief/Weapons – CK26049383
Date: July 7, 2026, 0148hrs Location: Burton Avenue, Chatham
On July 7, 2026, at approximately 0148hrs, police were contacted regarding a disturbance on Burton Avenue.
Investigation revealed that a female was banging on the door of a residence with a hammer and threatening to kill the occupants and smash all the windows. At the time, she was bound by conditions not to possess weapons.
As a result, a 41-year-old Chatham female was arrested for:
- Possession of a Weapon for A Dangerous Purpose
- Uttering Threats – to Damage Property
- Mischief Under $5000
- Failure to Comply With Release Order
She was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters and held for bail.
