The Chatham-Kent Police Service (CKPS) responded to a variety of incidents over the past 24 hours. Below is a summary of the key events, including arrests, investigations, and other notable occurrences.
Impaired Operation- CK25039764
Date: July 7, 2025, Time: 22:54 hrs, Location: Wheatley Road
On July 8, 2025, at approximately 22:54 hrs, a Chatham-Kent Police Service officer observed a vehicle stopped in a lane of traffic.
The officer spoke with the driver, a 30-year-old female from Leamington, who indicated that’s she had stopped to respond to a message.
Upon further investigation, the officer observed signs of alcohol present in the vehicle and issued a roadside demand. The driver failed the roadside test and was subsequently transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters for further testing, where she provided two breath samples.
The results of the breath tests registered as 220 mg and 210mg of alcohol in 100 mL of blood. The driver was charged with the following:
• Operation While Impaired- Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)
She was released with a scheduled future court date of July 21, 2025.

Date: July 4, 2025, Time: 19:05 hrs, Location: Chatham-Kent
On June 28, 2025, the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report involving a 27-year-old male from Wallaceburg who made several threats toward a 26-year-old male from Chatham.
On July 7, 2025, at approximately 19:05 hr, the Chatham-Kent Police Service located and arrested the accused in connection to the above offence. The accused is also wanted on multiple outstanding warrants related to intimate partner violence and uttering threats.
The accused is currently facing the following charges:
• Count 1 – Assault Causing Bodily Harm
• Count 2 – Uttering Threats – cause death or bodily harm
• Count 3 – Assault Causing Bodily Harm
• Count 4 – Mischief Under $5,000
• Count 5 – Assault Cause Bodily Harm by Choking
• Count 6 – Mischief Under $5,000
• Count 7 – Assault
• Count 8 – Theft of Under $5,000
• Count 9 – Utter Threats
He was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters, where he is currently awaiting bail.
