Assault (IPV) – CK26049086
Date: July 5, 2026, 2122hrs Location: Dresden
On July 5, 2026, at approximately 2122hrs, police were notified of a disturbance at a residence in Dresden.
Officers attended and arrested a 30-year-old Dresden female for assault.
She was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters and released on a Form 10 with a court date of August 10, 2026.
Operation While Impaired – CK26048425, CK26048573, CK26048596
Date: July 3-4, 2026Location: Tilbury/Thamesville
Between July 3, 2026 and July 4, 2026, police responded to several incidents of impaired driving.
CK26048425 – On July 3, 2026, at approximately 1607hrs, police responded to a possible impaired driver after a male entered a business on Queen Street in Tilbury, purchased a bottle of vodka and proceeded to drink it in the parking lot before driving away.
Police located the vehicle and arrested the 65-year-old driver for Operation While Impaired – Alcohol.
He was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters where he provided samples of his breath.
The male was subsequently arrested for Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration 80-plus.
He was released on a Form 10 with a court date of August 11, 2026.
CK26048573 – On July 3, 2026, at approximately 2315hrs, police were contacted after a vehicle drove off the roadway on Tecumseh Line and into a neighbouring field.
Upon arrival, police determined that the driver of the vehicle had been drinking.
Police requested the male driver provide a sample of his breath into an Approved Screening Device. After the device registered a “Fail”, the male was arrested and transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters for further testing.
As a result, a 21-year-old Tilbury male faces the following charges:
- Operation While Impaired – Alcohol
- Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration 80-Plus
He was released on a Form 10 with a court date of August 7, 2026.
CK26048596 – On July 4, 2026, at approximately 0124hrs, police conducted a traffic stop on Victoria Street in Thamesville.
The male driver was arrested for Operation While Impaired – Alcohol and transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters for further testing and after providing samples of this breath, faces an additional charge of Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration 80-Plus.
He was released on a Form 10 with a future court date.
Liquor Licence and Control Act – CK26048586, CK26048622, CK26048648
Also on July 3 and 4, 2026, police responded to several Liquor Licence and Control Act infractions in Erieau and Chatham.
CK26048586 – On July 3, 2026 at approximately 0006hrs, police were called to Wedgewood Drive, Chatham, regarding an intoxicated male causing a disturbance.
A 24-year-old Chatham male was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place.
He was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters and lodged until sober.
CK26048622 – On July 3, 3036 at approximately 0517hrs, police were completing a focused patrol on King Street in Chatham when they came into contact with an intoxicated male.
The 54-year-old Chatham-Kent male was arrested for public intoxication.
Unable to care for himself, he was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters and lodged until sober.
CK26048648 – On July 4, 2026 at approximately 0936hrs, police responded to a disturbance at an address on Ross Street in Erieau.
A 51-year-old female was arrested for being intoxicated in a common area.
As she was unable to care for herself, she was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters and lodged until sober.
She was also issued a Provincial Offences Notice.
