Assault – CK26054008
Date: July 23, 2026, 19:45 hrs
Location: Wallace Street, Wallaceburg, ON
On Thursday, July 23, 2026, at approximately 19:45 hrs, members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a disturbance at a residence on Wallace Street in Wallaceburg.
Through investigation, police learned that a verbal dispute between two individuals escalated into a physical altercation. During the incident, the accused assaulted the victim while attempting to retrieve a cellular phone. The victim then attempted to leave the residence with the accused attempting to prevent them from leaving.
As a result of the investigation, a 32-year-old Wallaceburg man was arrested and charged with:
- Assault
- Forcible confinement
The accused was then transported to Chatham-Kent Police headquarters where he was released on an undertaking with a future court date of August 31, 2026.
Impaired – CK26054060
Date: July 23, 2026, 23:24 hrs
Location: St. Clair Road, Chatham, ON
On Thursday, July 23, 2026, at approximately 23:24 hrs, members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service received a call for service regarding impaired on Highway 40. Police attended the area and located the subject vehicle. Police subsequently initiated a traffic stop on the driver.
Through investigation, police formed grounds to believe that the driver was impaired by alcohol.
As a result of the investigation a 44-year-old Wallaceburg man was arrested for impaired driving.
The accused was then brought to Chatham-Kent Police headquarters for further testing.
As a result of the investigation the accused was charged with:
- Operation while impaired by alcohol
- Operation while exceeding legal blood alcohol concentration 80+
He was later released on an undertaking with a future court date of August 31, 2026.
Impaired – CK26054066
Date: July 24, 2026, 00:10 hrs
Location: Merrit Avenue, Chatham, ON
On Friday, July 24, 2026, at approximately 00:10 hrs, members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of impaired driving in the area of Merrit Avenue in Chatham.
Police attended the area and were able to locate the subject vehicle. Police stopped the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. Through investigation police formed grounds to believe that the driver was impaired by alcohol.
As a result of the investigation, a 32-year-old Chatham woman was arrested for impaired driving. The accused was then brought back to Chatham-Kent Police headquarters for further testing.
As a result of the investigation, she has been charged with:
- Operation while impaired by alcohol
- Operation while exceeding legal blood alcohol concentration 80+
She was later released on an undertaking with a future court date of August 31, 2026.
Impaired – CK26054091
Date: July 24, 2026, 03:36 hrs
Location: Victoria Street, Tilbury, ON
On Friday, July 24, 2026, at approximately 03:36 hrs, while on general patrol in the area of Victoria Street in Tilbury, members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service observed a motor vehicle exhibiting poor driving behaviour. As a result a traffic stop was initiated by officers. Officers then formed grounds to suspect that the driver was impaired by alcohol and provided an approved screening device. The driver then registered a fail on the approved screen device. The driver was subsequently arrested for Alcohol concentration 80+.
The accused was then brought to Chatham-Kent Police headquarters to provide further breath testing.
As a result of the investigation, a 66-year-old Tilbury woman was charged with:
- Operation while impaired by alcohol
- Operation while exceeding legal blood alcohol concentration 80+
She was later released on an undertaking with a future court date of September 2, 2026.
