IPV/Bail Violation – CK25042473

Date: July 18, 2025, Time: 20:27hrs., Location: Kendall Street, Chatham

On July 18, 2025, at approximately 20:27hrs, the Chatham-Kent Police responded to a bail violation investigation in the southwest area of Chatham.  

Upon arrival at the residence, officers discovered that a man, bound by a release order prohibiting communication with the victim and attendance at her address, had violated these conditions by going to her home, attempting to speak with her, and allegedly pushing her. He also unlawfully entered the residence in search of property.

The 36-year-old Chatham man was located at his residence at approximately 20:45hrs and was subsequently arrested. He was transported to police headquarters and is currently being held for bail on the following charges:

  • Fail to Comply with Release Conditions (2 counts)
  • Assault
  • Unlawfully in a Dwelling House


Warrants/Resist – CK25042506

Date: July 18, 2025, Time: 22:50hrs., Location: Murray Street, Wallaceburg

On June 27, 2025, at approximately 21:57hrs, the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of theft at the grocery store located on St. Clair Street, near Pioneer Line in Chatham. The complainant reported that a male and female had taken items from the store without paying. 

Upon arrival, Police reviewed store footage which confirmed that both individuals left the store without paying for certain items. Officers identified the male, who was bound by a Form 10 Undertaking, which prohibited him from communicating with the female he was with, and from being within 100 meters of her.

On July 18, 2025, at approximately 23:00hrs, police responded with EMS for a medical emergency in front of a residence on Murray Street in Wallaceburg.

Officers attended, located the man and confirmed that there were outstanding warrants for him. When notified of his arrest, he became argumentative and refused to comply with police instructions. Despite repeated demands to drop an uncapped needle he was holding, he initially refused, leading to a physical altercation. Officers ultimately subdued him after he complied and dropped the needle.

The 42-year-old Leamington man was arrested and transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters for processing. In addition to existing theft, possession of stolen property and assault charges from other investigations, he is currently being held for a bail hearing on the following charges

  • Fail to Comply with Undertaking
  • Resist Arrest


Assault – CK25042636

Date: July 19, 2025, Time: 17:09hrs., Location: Wallace Street, Wallaceburg

On July 19, 2025, at approximately 16:53hrs, the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of an aggravated assault at an apartment complex located on Wallace Street in Wallaceburg. 

The victim was in his vehicle when he was approached by the accused and several others. A verbal dispute escalated, and as the victim exited his vehicle, the accused charged him and assaulted him with several punches. The accused continued to strike the victim while on the ground and made threats to kill him.

The victim managed to escape and sought help at a nearby apartment, where emergency services were called. He sustained serious injuries.

Video surveillance from the scene confirmed the victim’s account and identified the accused. At approximately 20:32hrs, police located the accused riding his bike in Wallaceburg and arrested him without incident.

The 34-year-old Wallaceburg man was transported to police headquarters, where he is currently being held for bail. He has been charged with:

  • Aggravated Assault
  • Uttering Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm
